Do Good Heroes?

Nominations must be for a fire-rescue-EMS or police member or department at the municipal, county, or state level. Fire-rescue-EMS includes professional, on-call, and volunteer firefighters, EMS, and search-and-rescue responders. Police nominations include officers, detectives, and clerical/technical staff supporting the department. Private security and campus police forces are not currently eligible.

Nominators must be an agent contracted with National Life Group.

National Life Group agents complete the nomination form at app.dogoodheroes.net. Include the nominee's name, agency, non-emergency contact info, and detail about the causes they support and how they go above and beyond.

Your nominee gets a public profile on the Do Good Heroes site, a personalized certificate, and recognition on social media and in local press. Every nominee is also eligible for monthly cash awards and the Annual Grand Prize.

Each month, one $1,000 prize and four $500 prizes are awarded for the nominee to donate to a nonprofit of their choice. In spring of 2027, two Grand Prize winners (one fire-rescue, one police) from the pool of $1,000 monthly winners receive an additional $5,000 each to donate.

Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis. To be considered for the 2026 Grand Prize, nominations must be submitted by December 31, 2026.
